Dora and Stampin' Up!

It sure has been awhile since I've posted, and I'm really sorry about that!  Sometimes life gets in the way of business and pleasure.  I'm creating gifts for a family of newcomers, of which one just turned 3.  Now what do you make for a 3 year old with Stampin' Up! products?  Well, you make a little gift  bag using butterfly die cuts and letters, and then you create a coloring book featuring Dora, the Explorer!

Before you come back, be thinking about joining Card Club.  Cost is $20 each month, up from last year due to an increase in the cost of supplies.  I'm still working on details, but the plan is to start on August 30 at 6:30 p.m. at my home.  You can contact me at (309) 221-0978 or by e-mail at

Where has the summer gone?

I can't believe it!  The kids go back to school in just one short week!  If you noticed my post last week, you'll see that Illinois is having a 5% Sales Tax Holiday now until August 15.  Take advantage of the savings and get those school supplies ordered!
As I prepared for the Open House last month, I made several new samples.  One of the stamp sets in the Summer Mini Catalog is called Elements of Style, and while I really, really liked the projects that other demonstrators created, I didn't want to buy such a wonderful stamp set and only be able to use it for a short time.  The Summer Mini ends August 30!  Much to my surprise, that set was carried over into the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog, so of course I had to have it!  I have seen so many color combinations using this set.  It is so versatile!  I chose the new Cherry Cobbler, since I was trying to showcase the new colors that were recently introduced.  I love the way it turned out, don't you?
Would you like to make beautiful cards like these?  Card club will be starting soon, and you can make a variety of cards to take home with you.  I have to work out the final details, but I do need to raise the minimum orders due to an increase in price of cardstock.  We will also be making only 4 projects this year instead of 5 each month.  Cost will be between $20 and $25 per month, so if you are interested, please give me a call at (309) 221-0978 or send me a message at
