Quick Card from My Digital Studio

Looking for quick card ideas?  My Digital Studio offers a great selection of pre-designed layouts for cards, scrapbooks, and more!  I hadn't worked on any new designs this week (gasp!!!), and need something to share with you, so I turned to My Digital Studio for inspiration.  This was the first design I opened, and the only thing I changed was the sentiment.  One of the nicest parts of this program is that there are stamp sets and accessories that I don't physically own, so I can experiment  to see what I like.  Even though this was a pre-designed card, I can still change ANY part of the design any way I want.  Not all programs allow that freedom.
If you've been 'on the fence' about buying this program, now would be a great time to say yes.  Why, you ask?  SALE-A-BRATION!!!  For every $50 you spend (from any catalog) you earn one (1) FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  Yes, you heard right!  FREE!!!  There is a special incentive for the hostess during a workshop, as well.  Call me for details at 221-0978.

Masculine Valentine

Need a Valentine card for that special fellow in your life?  Truck those Valentine hearts right on over to him with this old-fashioned pickup and trailer.  The  base of the card is vanilla card stock, so the inside is ready and waiting for the sentiment of your choice.
The truck and trailer are actually two coordinating stamp sets called Loads of Love and Loads of Fun.  I just love the versatility of this set.
Just a reminder that Card Club is this coming Tuesday at 6:30, and this is one of the featured designs.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Birthday Bling

A good friend and Card Club member asked recently if we would be making a birthday card at card club this month.  I hadn't specifically planned one, but needed another design, anyway.  It needed to be for a female, but not too frilly.  I may have overdone the frilly part just a little, but I like the way this turned out.  The card base is Regal Rose cardstock.  The print layer is from the new Sending Love Specialty  Designer Series Paper from the Occassions Mini Catalog.  I also used 4 punches, the new Extra Large Fancy Flower and the Pinking Hearts Border punches from the Occassions Mini, and the Word Window and Modern Label punches from the 2009 - 2010 Idea Book & Catalog.  The butterfly is the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, also from the Occasions Mini.
Do you know that if you bought just the papers and punches to make this card (no stamps or die), you would spend $88.75, and you would get a FREE Sale-A-Bration item.  Add the stamp set, On Your Birthday for $33.95, and you now have $122.70, plus TWO FREE items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Add another $22.30 of an item of your choosing, and you have enough on a single order to earn a FREE hostess set, plus another $15 in free merchandise.  That adds up to approximately $50 in FREE merchandise. You would now have plenty of at two cardstock colors to make many more cards, scrapbook pages, etc.   Want to learn more about earning FREE merchandise?  Just give me a call and we'll discuss options.
Oh, and by the way, I still have one opening for card club this month, so give me a call for more details.

Bella Bleu - A different side

I shared yesterday that I had made another card using the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper.  This is it!  I've also used one of the new clear mount stamp sets for the front.  These new stamps sets are so easy to use.  What makes them different from other clear stamps?  Stampin' Up! clear mount stamps are still rubber stamps!  The difference is a clear acrylic block for mounting.  The stamps are also stored in a 'DVD like' case unmounted.  You get the quality of rubber stamping, plus the ability to see where you are stamping!  I've never had much luck stamping with acrylic stamps.  I personally don't think the stamped image is as good as rubber stamps.  Now you can have rubber stamp quality using acrylic blocks.  These blocks are better, as well.  You get a nice thick block with rounded beveling on the sides for ease of use.

Call me to see the difference for yourself.  I promise you'll like what you see

Bella Bleu Anniversary

Friends of ours recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.  I've been thinking for a few weeks now of a really nice design for their card.  I've been experimenting with the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper after seeing a multi-layered card using it with a new stamp set.  I'll show you that one later.  This is from the same paper set and used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set inside the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.  The Ballet Blue cardstock and the DSP also are punched with the new Scallop Border Punch.

Stay tuned for more samples coming up this week.

Circle Circus

Do you like bright colors or mixed colors for your cards?  Well, this one should fit the bill quite nicely.  It uses the In Colors from the Idea Book & Catalog and the Circle Circus stamp stamp set that was introduced last July.  These stamps are easy to layer and punch and can be used for many different occasions.  I haven't used it for Card Club yet, but I need to do that soon!  Be watching for it, but probably not until next month!

Birds and Clouds

Isn't the bird on this card really cute?  Can you tell how it's created?  It is called an Extra Large Two- Step Bird, and no it is not a stamp.  It is one of the wonderful new punches available beginning today.  It can be yours by shopping the New Occassions Mini Catalog.  I did a demonstrator no-no by using a retired stamp for the swirls on the corners, but I like the effect.  The cloud background is created by using scallop circles, attaching in a random fashion, and spongeing the page in layers.  Pretty easy to do, and if you're in my Card Club, you'll be doing this technique this month.  You'll also take home your own cloud template to use for stamping or scrapbooking.  Sale-A-Bration is now underway, as well.  For every $50 you spend from any catalog, you qualify for a FREE item from this catalog!  It's a GREAT way to increase you supplies on hand!

Have you ever thought about how much you spend each month on your own supplies?  If you are spending an average of $300 over a 3-month period, why not consider becoming a demonstrator?  During Sale-A-Bration, the starter kit is on sale.  You also qualify for instant income on your orders, which means you save money!  Sound interesting?  Call me for more details, or go to my website.  If you are interested, I'll give you the password to sign up.  It's really very easy, and so much fun.

Occasions Mini/Sale-A-Bration sample

I've finally had an opportunity to sit down and work with my new products from the Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogs.  This card used the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini and Whimsical Words stamp set from Sale-A-Brations.  It also uses the new Stitched Felt flowers.  The Card Stock is the coordinating Rose Red.  Be watching over the next few days for more samples of the new products.

Mini Catalogs and New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With the beginning of a new year, we are wrapping up the sales in the Holiday Mini Catalog, so if there are any items you've been postponing ordering, now is the time to place that order.  The Sale ends MONDAY!  Don't be sad, though.  There will be TWO new mini catalogs that start TUESDAY;  The Occasions Mini and the Sale-A-Bration!  For every $50 you spend from any catalog, you can earn a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  You cannot buy anything from this catalog, you can only EARN them.  There are many things to be excited about in these new catalogs.  There are new PAPERS, PUNCHES, and, introducing CLEAR MOUNT STAMPS!!  I haven't had much play time with these new stamps, but hope to post some new projects over the next few days.  What a space saver these will be!

What better way to start a new year than with a new calendar.  These are more I created for my customers and Card Club members.  There are magnets on the back for mounting on the refrigerator, a file cabinet, or maybe even a locker?  They are soooo easy to make!

Come join my Card Club.  We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month at  The Salvation Army, 510 N. Kellogg, in Galesburg at 6:30.  Each month there is a new 'Hostess'.  That member is responsible for providing treats, and also gets the hostess benefits based on sales for that night.  How awesome is that?  Call me for more information at 221-0978.
